About Us
At Imagine That… Creative Children’s Centers, we are inspired by the Reggio Emilia Philosophy of early childhood education. Reggio Emilia principles hold that is important for children to have sense of control over the direction of their learning; that early learning comes through experiences of touching, moving, listening, seeing, and hearing; that children have relationships with other children and with material items in the world, which they must be encouraged to explore; and that children have endless ways and opportunities to express themselves. In Reggio Emilia Schools and at Imagine That… the environment is central to the learning process and is considered the “third” teacher.
It is our belief that through providing a creative art based eco-friendly environment, rich in nature-based sensory experiences, young children will explore their own innate curiosity and become active learners. This active learning process, supported by multiple opportunities and levels of developmentally appropriate curriculum, will help provide access to a wide range of authentic learning possibilities for all children.
About Our Staff
The staff at Imagine That… are enthusiastic and experienced Early Childhood professionals. Many have university coursework/degrees in child development, education, psychology, art and sociology. Our teachers also have a wealth of direct experience, as well as training in early childhood education and child development.
